Full Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

Your flight will land at Jomo Kenyatta Airport. Welcome to Africa! Look forward to a journey through majestic, unspoiled landscapes to fabulous game reserves where the dark continents incomparable wildlife is protected in its natural habitat.

After disembarking from the aircraft, you will be met by Maono Tours Customer Service Manager who will lead you to clear customs and immigration formalities and proceed to the arrivals lounge. You will be assisted to your transfer vehicles. Transfer by road to your hotel. 

Day 2: Fly to Tsavo West National Park

Breakfast at your hotel. Transfer to Wilson Airport for your schedule flight to Tsavo West National Park departing at 07h30. Upon arrival at 08h30 at Finch Hattons Airstrip, you will be met by the camp driver/guide. The Tsavo West Tsavo West National Park is more mountainous and wetter than its counterpart, with swamps, Lake Jipe and the Mzima Springs. It is known for bird life and for its large mammal’s e.g. black rhino, Cape buffalo, elephant, leopard, hippo and Masai lion. There are also other smaller animals that can be spotted in the park, such as the bush baby, hartebeest, lesser kudu and Maasai giraffe.  Lunch at the camp and thereafter enjoy your first game viewing drive. Return to the camp at sunset for dinner and retire for the night at Finch Hattons Luxury Camp on Game Package.

Day 3: Full day in Tsavo West National Park

Early Morning and afternoon game drives in the Tsavo West National Park, Tsavo West National Park is located in southeastern Kenya. Factors that draw visitors to Tsavo West includes its own diverse and abundant wildlife, the rhino reserve, Mzima Springs, a solid network of roads, and the potential for rock climbing and guided walks.  The Big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo) are all accounted for within Tsavo West as well as Tsavo East. Other popular species include hartebeest, kudu, giraffe, buffalo, hippopotamus, as well as many other species that migrate between Tsavo East and Tsavo West. Birdwatchers also have plenty to be excited for with over 500 species of birds found within Tsavo national park.  Ostriches are the largest birds however, they are accompanied by kingfisher, hornbills, herons, starlings, weavers, buzzards, kestrels, among others.

Day 4: Fly to Samburu

Breakfast at the camp. Transfer to Finch Hattons Airstrip for your scheduled flight to Wilson Airport departing at 08h45. Upon arrival at 09h30, connect to your onward flight to Samburu National Reserve (Kalama Airstrip) departing at 10h00. Upon arrival at 11h30 at Kalama Airstrip, you will be met by the camp driver guide and drive to your camp. Lunch at your camp. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Larsens Camp on Game Package.

Day 5: Samburu National Reserve

Full day of game driving includes outings at dawn, when animals are most active, and in the afternoon, when the light is best for photography. Return to the lodge for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Today you stay close to the Ewaso Nyiro River, where vast herds of plains game come to water, braving lions in the grass, leopards in the trees, and giant crocodiles. Stars of Samburu not easily seen elsewhere are the liver-red reticulated giraffe, the long-necked gerenuk antelope, and the elegant Grevy zebra.

Day 6: Fly to Masai Mara Game Reserve

Enjoy early breakfast at the camp.

After breakfast transfer in 4×4 safari vehicles back to Kalama Airstrip for your scheduled small plane shuttle flight departing to Masai Mara Game Reserve.

The flight departs Kalama Airstrip at 10h35, arrives at Ol Kiombo Airstrip at 12h00.

You are now in Maasai Land where you will be met at the airstrip by the Camp vehicles and driver/guides and transfer to the camp.

Besides being the setting for the ancient and often tragic spectacle of the Great Migration, other marvels of the Masai Mara include black-manned lions, rhino, cheetah, giraffe, elephant, red-tailed monkeys and a host of antelope. Twice-daily interpretive game-drives led by our highly trained and experienced rangers, bird watching and bush-walks with resident guides and naturalists reveal the wonders of the Mara. Afternoon spent participating in the activities offered by the camp. Dinner & overnight at Lalashe Camp on Game Package.

Day 7 & 8: Masai Mara Game Reserve

Enjoy an early morning game drive and afternoon game drives in the Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s best and most scenic game park. At the northern extremity of the unique Serengeti ecosystem, blessed with a permanent water supply, the Maasai Mara has a thriving, permanent population of plains game, augmented in the dry season by the migration of two million gnus and zebras from the vast, parched Serengeti plains. Of the hunter’s “big five,” elephant, buffalo, lion, and leopard are quite common, while even the much rarer rhino might come out of the thicket for you. Hyenas are plentiful and the cheetah, a 60-miles-per-hour daytime hunter, is often seen. Day 9: Fly to Nairobi & Depart

Early morning game drive then return to the lodge for breakfast. Transfer back to Ol Kiombo Airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Nairobi. Gain an overview of Africa on your plane ride back to Nairobi. Upon arrival at Wilson Airport, you will be met and transferred to Crowne Plaza Nairobi Airport where a room has been reserved until departure.

After dinner transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.
