Aberdare in 3 Days: Where Forest Magic Meets Wildlife

Day 1: Nairobi – Aberdare National Park

Pick up from your hotel in the morning and proceed to Aberdare National Park, which is located about 150km (93 miles) east of Nairobi. Arrive in time for lunch at the hotel and later proceed for an afternoon game drive in search of the rare black rhino, leopards, baboons, and Colobus monkey. Enjoy this beautiful scenic region which is much cooler than the savannahs and offers a completely different perspective on the country. The national park lies mainly above the tree line. The scenery is spectacular with its mountainous terrain covered in thick tropical forests swathed in mist. Dinner and overnight at Treetops Lodge or The Ark Lodge.
