Your flight will land at Kigali International Airport. Welcome to Africa! Look forward to a journey through the land of a thousand hills where mountains are magnificent and in the bamboo forests you get the world’s last mountain Gorillas in the world.
After disembarking from the aircraft, you will be met by Maono Tours Customer Service Manager who will lead you to clear customs and immigration formalities and proceed to the arrivals lounge. You will be assisted to your transfer vehicle and transfer to Kigali Serena Hotel.
After the breakfast the guide will take you for the Kigali city tour. The tour will include the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre, the trading center, the ministry area, the UN memorial (where the ten blue helmets were killed at the onset of the genocide), the post-genocide development and expansion of Kigali, the new and modern residential quarter and other sites.
Drive north through some beautiful terraced hills which are characterized with huge landscape and sometimes as five peaks (Volcanoes) visible. Arriving in Musanze you will be transferred to your hotel which is on the foot of Mountain Sabyinyo at 2000 meters high above the sea level. Upon arrival, your day is at leisure. Overnight at Wilderness Sabyinyo Lodge on full board basis.
Wake up for an early morning breakfast and at around 6:30AM, we head to the Kinigi park Head quarter.
You will have 2 Gorilla treks which will sure be the highlight of your tour. We will be at the Kinigi ranger station by 7 am, where we are allocated guides and briefed before heading into the forest. We will track one of the eight habituated Gorilla groups in Rwanda. Move in a company of experienced ranger guides through the forest while searching for mountain gorillas. Only eight people are able to track each habituated group. Time taken while searching for these great apes, rangers between 2 to 6 hours depending on the movement of the gorilla groups as their territory can range up to 40km. The park rangers and guides will clear the way and assist you through the forest. Once the gorilla group is located you will spend an hour with them as they feed, rest and play.
After the Gorilla trekking, you will return to your Lodge refresh a bit and the reminder of your day is at leisure. Overnight at Wilderness Sabyinyo on full board basis.
Breakfast at your lodge. On this day, you will enjoy trekking the Golden Monkeys before your departure to Kigali in the afternoon.
Drop off at Kigali Airport for your onward flight to Nairobi.

Breakfast at your hotel. Transfer to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to Lewa Downs.
This conservancy is a 62,000 acre wildlife sanctuary situated on the northern slopes of Mt Kenya made up of swamp, acacia forest, rock gorges and ravine that support over 400 species of birds and 60 mammals. It has a rhino sanctuary and home to Grévy zebra, reticulated giraffes, endangered aquatic sitatunga, the elusive wild dogs among other mammals. You will be met on arrival and transferred to your camp for lunch. In the afternoon you will engage in game activities offered by the lodge. Upon arrival, you will be met by the camp driver/guide. The Maasai Mara, is the northernmost extension of the Serengeti and a gem in itself. The camp operates throughout the year, the migration of wildebeest covers July through October, quickly followed by the birthing season from October to March. April and May offer the best opportunities for keen ornithologists and those wishing to enjoy the solitude and verdant green of the quiet season. Lunch at the camp and thereafter enjoy your first game viewing drive. Return to the camp at sunset for dinner and retire for the night at Elewana Lewa Sand River Camp.
Enjoy an early morning game drive and afternoon game drives in the Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s best and most scenic game park. At the northern extremity of the unique Serengeti ecosystem, blessed with a permanent water supply, the Maasai Mara has a thriving, permanent population of plains game, augmented in the dry season by the migration of two million gnus and zebras from the vast. Of the hunter’s “big five,” elephant, buffalo, lion, and leopard are quite common, while even the much rarer rhino might come out of the thicket for you. Hyenas are plentiful and the cheetah, a 60-miles-per-hour daytime hunter, is often seen. Besides being the setting for the ancient and often tragic spectacle of the Great Migration, other marvels of the Masai Mara include giraffe, elephant, red-tailed monkeys and a host of antelope. Twice-daily interpretive game-drives led by our highly trained and experienced rangers, bird watching with resident guides and naturalists reveal the wonders of the Mara.
After breakfast at your camp, you will be transferred back to Keekorok Airstrip to catch your scheduled flight to Kogatende Airstrip via Migori & Tarime for customs and immigrations. On arrival, you will be met by the camp driver guide and transferred to Lemala Kuria Hills.
Early Morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti National Park, the vast grasslands of the renowned Serengeti National Park provide what many consider to be the quintessential African game viewing experience. Meaning ‘endless plains’ in the language of the Maasai, this land of immense open spaces is home to literally millions of large herbivores, as well as the accompanying carnivores. The Serengeti is renowned for having the largest concentration of migratory animals in the world, and is also famous for its large lion population. The Serengeti National Park forms part of a huge conservation area, encompassing the adjacent Ngorongoro Conservation Area, as well as the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. With no fences or man-made barriers, huge numbers of wildlife move freely throughout this area.
Breakfast at your camp. After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kogatende Airstrip for your schedule flight to Kilimanjaro Airport. On arrival, you will connect to your onward flight to Nairobi JKI Airport.
Upon arrival, you will be met and assisted then transferred to your hotel for overnight at Crowne Plaza Nairobi Airport on bed & breakfast basis.
After breakfast, you will be picked for your transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your home-bound flight.
