A 6-Day Safari Through Kenya’s Wild & Wonder

Day 1: Nairobi – Aberdare

Depart Nairobi for Aberdare National Park arriving in time for lunch at Aberdare Country Club.  Brief relaxation after lunch and thereafter you will be transferred to The Ark for dinner and overnight.  Overnight game watch from the terrace of your rooms.

Day 2: Aberdare - Samburu

Drive North through the lush tea and coffee plantations of central Kenya and across the equator on the way to the Northern foothills of Mount Kenya, a 17,058-foot dormant volcano with glistening cap of ice and snow. Arriving in time for lunch at Trout Tree Restaurant.  Proceed to Samburu the grassland area which forms the bridge between Kenya’s lush south and perched North.  Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Samburu

Have a pre-breakfast game drive at dawn when animals are most active and the light is good for photography. Return to the lodge for breakfast. An optional visit to the Samburu Masai Village  (At an extra cost). Lunch at the lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive with a visit to EwasoNyiro River where vast herds of plains game come to water, braving lions in the grass, leopards in the trees and giant crocodiles. Stars of Samburu not easily seen elsewhere are the liver-red reticulated giraffes, the long necked gerenuk antelopes, and the elegant gravy Zebra. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Day 5: Samburu – Sweetwaters

After breakfast proceed to Ol pejeta Conservancy arriving in time for lunch at Sweetwater’s Tented Camp.  After lunch afternoon game drive in the sanctuary with a visit to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary.  Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 6: Sweetwaters – Nairobi

Depart for Nairobi at your free time.  You will be dropped off at a place of your choice (Nairobi)#
